L & O Greek Specialties started out as a dream in September of 1999 and became a reality in January 2000. Two Fraternity brothers and good friends, Charles E. Lawson of Birmingham, Alabama, and Maynard V. Odom of Mobile, Alabama, started the business. The business primary product started out being Fraternity, Sorority, and Masonic Coins but quickly grew to include other products.

Charles lives in Birmingham with his wife Debra and is active and Financial in his Fraternity. He is an alumnus of Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, and Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama. Charles works for the Alabama Air National Guard where he has been employed for the last 28 plus years. He is employed as the Ground Safety Manager.

Maynard Odom lives in Mobile, Alabama with his wife Roxanne. Both Maynard and Roxanne are active and financial in their perspective Fraternity and Sorority. Maynard works for Bishop State Community College as an advisor to foreign students. He is a graduate of Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama, and University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama.
